Hayley Kiyoko in Concert

She’s won many awards on her way up the charts, including Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2018, as well as the Rising Star award from Billboard Women in Music. Her music can best be described as synth pop, or “dream pop” – a newer musical genre that simply gets into your head and stays there.
Austin Grilled Cheese Festival

Who knew grilled cheese could fill an entire festival? Who are we kidding, grilled cheese is the best, and if you’re looking for a zany and fun thing to throw into your schedule, you should definitely stop in and check out this festival and eat the best gourmet grilled cheese of your life.

Austin is the whole package, and it’s the perfect candidate for an Austin holiday getaway that the entire family will remember for a lifetime.
The Weather Is Just Right
Austin sits in the magic medium of climates, where the winters get cold, but not too cold. It usually dips to the 40s at night during the winter months, while the days remain palatable through fall and winter, moving from breezy and mild in October to brisk in November to verging on chilly in December. If you love winter as a concept but not enough to brave blizzards, head to Austin for the holidays.
Indoor and Outdoor Adventures
Austin is the place to be, whether you’re looking for day-long outdoor adventures to embark on, or cozy indoor corners to curl up for coffee with a loved one. Try the Blanton Museum of Art, or Ellsworth Kelly: Austin, where the colored glass windows are perfect for a holiday photo op. Run the Austin Marathon or pay a visit to one of Austin’s famous wineries, like Duchman’s Family Winery. Explore the Barton Creek Greenbelt and all its natural wonders: a lush forest, 12+ miles of trails, and two waterfalls. It’s also the perfect vantage point to view the crisp Austin skyline.
Austin Holiday Magic
The Austin holiday spirit is alive and thriving! You can’t step out the front door without feeling the holiday magic in the air. On November 20th, go on a shopping spree at the unparalleled A Christmas Affair event, a 5-day market with over 200 merchants. On November 30th you’ll get to see Chuy’s Christmas Parade, featuring marching bands and vintage cars and holiday floats and more. When December hits, you can find the Austin Trail of Lights 2019 at Zilker Metropolitan Park. Explore the Eden East Annual Solstice Festival & Craft Market on December 21st. And if you’re staying here through the New Year, you won’t want to miss the New Year’s Eve party of a lifetime at Gatsby’s House. End 2019 with a bang!
