Located just east of downtown in the Cesar Chavez neighborhood, this little café is a piece of local history in more ways than one! The owners are from the neighborhood, and Cenote started as a dream of bringing a place with excellent coffee and food to the area they call home. It’s housed in a historic building from 1887, and the site was actually featured on Austin’s first ever hand-drawn map! Today, you’ll find them serving up not just fantastic coffee, but a full food menu with farm-fresh eats and local ingredients, such as vegetables, eggs, and bacon from Texas farms. In addition to the food and coffee, they offer a selection of Texas craft beer and have an impressive wine list. This is definitely one of the best Austin cafes!
