They say there’s always something happening in Austin, and they’re correct. Here, there’s always something going on, and that extends to the world of handcrafted cocktails in Austin! You could spend years here and never taste them all. Make sure to try our favorites while you’re exploring the town:

Whisler’s

This is a rustic cocktail bar with more personality than half the other bars in Austin put together. Try one of the classics here, like the Hemingway Daquiri (made with rum, Maraschino, grapefruit, and lime), or perhaps the Slumdog Trillionaire (made with house-infused chai rum, brandy, pineapple, and lemon). Happy Hour at Whisler’s is Monday-Friday 4:00-7:00pm, and Saturday 12:00pm-4:00pm.

The Tigress Pub

This craft cocktail lounge has an everchanging menu filled with classy drinks and creative recipes that never fail to amaze. Right now you’ll find such hits on their menu as the Leo Libre (made with white rum, dark rum, Contratto fernet, Velvet falernum, and Coca-Cola), but the menu never stays the same for long here when there are always new avenues and new cocktails in Austin to explore.

Devil May Care

Step into Devil May Care for some soft mood lighting, a mysterious atmosphere, and lingering tastes. The aura here is spooky and mysterious, and the cocktails are refined. Try the Azafrán, made with sweet bell pepper infused cachaca, saffron, hot smoked paprika, and citrus. You’re simply not going to find a drink like that anywhere else. Happy Hour is Sunday-Friday 4:30-6:30pm, when you’ll get to enjoy half off all cocktails and bottles of wine.

The Roosevelt Room

This award-winning cocktail bar and event venue is a must-see destination in Austin, located in a historic building right in the heart of the city amongst the hustle and bustle of the downtown district. Enjoy table service and friendly staff who will guide you through the dozens of cocktails available on the menu. Try a house creation such as the simple but powerful Death Valley cocktail, made with Topo Chico, Kubler Absinthe, and lime juice. If you’re looking for something with a more complex flavor palate you could go for the Buck to the Future, which is made with George Dickel Rye Whiskey, Lustau Manzanilla Sherry, Amaro Nardini, strawberry-basil purée, ginger syrup, lemon, and barrel-smoked cracked black pepper.
