Texas is a state known for its independence and its patriotism, and it is a great place to spend the Fourth of July. The annual H.E.B Austin Symphony July 4th Concert & Fireworks kicks off at 8:30 p.m. on the 4th and features music by the Austin Symphony Orchestra. The concert of patriotic tunes is the perfect accompaniment for the fireworks display which starts at 9:30 p.m. The Fourth of July Fireworks and Symphony takes place at Vic Mathias Shores, which used to be called Auditorium Shores.

The Fourth of July Fireworks and Symphony

Each year the Austin Symphony Orchestra generously helps to pay for the fireworks downtown and puts on this concert to boot. The concert is also sponsored by the popular Austin based Supermarket chain H.E.B. The fireworks display is always phenomenal and past concerts have included such traditional tunes as “The Star-Spangled Banner,” “Stars and Stripes Forever,” and the theme songs of each branch of the US military.
