Cheer Up Charlies – 900 Red River St
You can’t help but feel good when you walk into this colorful gay bar and try one of the innovative drinks like kale and a lime margarita or a Golden Ticket, which was voted the best pseudo healthy drink in Austin by the Austin Chronicle. The music stage is large and has an ever-changing backdrop. The music schedule is diverse, and you are sure to enjoy some of the best tunes in town here.
Restaurants
Arlo’s – 900 Red River St
Named after one of America’s favorite folk singers, this vegan and vegetarian food cart offers some truly delicious late-night fare. Be sure to try the Bac’n Cheeze Burger and the crunchy, filling and spicy Frito pie.
Hoboken Pie – 718 Red River
Frank Sinatra isn’t the only thing for which Hoboken, NJ is famous; the pizza is pretty good there as well. This pizza shop offers authentic slices of New York pie with a good selection of toppings and just the right amount of grease.
