First United Methodist Church sponsors this event, making sure there is enough eggs for everyone to go around. The Easter Egg Festival will combine two events together: an Easter egg hunt and egg races. Young children will be able to participate in the egg hunt searching for all the eggs while elementary school children can test their balance in the egg races. Once the egg related events are done, you can also enjoy a variety of activities such as face painting and live entertainment. This is a free event to attend with donations accepted for the Capital Area Food Bank. The Easter Egg Festival will take place on Saturday April 19th.
Always Hope Easter Run
If you are looking to build up a little exercise before enjoying all the sweet candy all weekend come participate in the Always Hope Easter Run. You may have heard of this event before as it is hosted in other large cities over Easter Weekend. Always Hope Easter Run will be a local 5K race that also has a 10K and half marathon option too. Many individuals can be initially hesitant and scared to partake in a run event such as this. However, the Always Hope Easter Run is a family friendly event where you can walk, jog, or run to the finish line. This is a casual race will see individuals of all ages participate from little ones in strollers to the adults looking to achieve a personal best time. Always Hope Easter Run is a popular event that always sells out in advance here in Austin. Each participant will receive a variety of items with their registration including a finisher’s medal, finisher’s towel, running shirt, online results, and a certificate to prove your participation. Runners can also upgrade their racing shirt to a tech shirt for just a few dollars more. Get ready for this year’s Always Hope Easter Run that is scheduled for Saturday April 19th. You can enjoy this race over at Cedar Park and will kick off at 7:30 AM for the first running group.
Moontower Comedy Festival
