Big Bertha, as the drum was lovingly named, is nearly 100 years old and stands eight feet in diameter, forty-one inches wide, and over 10 feet high when mounted on her carriage. Today, after several refurbishments, Bertha is still being escorted out onto the field by her very own “Bertha Crew.”
